Public Service Announcements

In response to the current health crisis, we have a higher demand for the use of cleaning supplies. A reminder to all customers, we urge you; do NOT flush any type of wipes, paper towels or similar products down the toilet.  Flushing these products may clog the sewers or interfere with pumping systems in the treatment facilities.  Additionally, the clogs could occur in your private household sewer system. Unnecessary clogs and issues could cause additional health risks during these critical times.  Please be aware this applies to ALL wipes including those labeled “flushable”.  Items of this nature should be disposed of in your sanitary trash by securing in a proper trash bag and receptacle.

Thank you for your help in this matter and your cooperation,

Butler County Water and Sewer Department
