Alamo Heights Water Reclamation Facility

The Alamo Heights Water Reclamation Facility is located northwest of Hamilton, Ohio and discharges clean water to Two Mile Creek.

The plant treats wastewater from approximately 275 homes in the Alamo Heights subdivision and surrounding area with an average daily flow of 0.068 million gallons per day.

In the late 1970s, the Alamo Heights plant was built with a capacity of 0.13 millions gallons per day. A backup rapid sand filter was added in 2000. The treatment is conventional activated sludge.

The plant consists of a surge tank, influent screens, two aeration tanks, two clarifiers and two rapid sand filters. Ultraviolet light is used for disinfection.

Three state-licensed wastewater operators monitor and oversee the plant's operations.
