Butler County offices can recycle all brands and sizes of toner and inkjet cartridges through Office Depot, even if you purchase your toner from another office supply store.

Contact Office Depot (1-877-237-8858) to obtain special cardboard containers for collecting laser toners, and inkjet cartridges for your department.  There is no charge for the containers.  Containers are affixed with shipping instructions, and a preprinted UPS shipping label.

UPS will pick up the box as soon as it is full.  Call 1-800-742-5877 to schedule pick up.

If you don't want to set up a collection point in your office - bring your toners and cartridges to these collection points for recycling.

In the Government Services Center - bring your toner and cartridges to the loading dock and look for the cardboard containers marked "cartridges" and "toner".  Drop your material here for recycling.

In the Butler County Administration Building, bring toner and cartridges to the following collection boxes:

• 1st floor—at the switchboard
• 5th floor workroom—next to the paper shredder
• 6th floor main hallway —across from the restrooms

IMPORTANT:  Please remove toner/cartridges from their original box, and recycle the box with your paper.

You can also recycle many toner and inkjet cartridges with the manufacturer (for ex. Hewlett Packard laser toner).  Check the package for return information and pre-addressed shipping labels.
