Significant Industrial User
Significant Industrial Users are required to maintain a Wastewater Discharge Permit.
A significant User is defined as:
- One who is regulated by Federal Categorical User Standards, or
- One who discharges 25,000 gallons or more of process wastewater per day, or
- One whose discharges make up five percent or more of a treatment plant’s average dry weather capacity, or
- One who has the potential cause an upset or pass-though at the water reclamation facility (wastewater treatment plant).
